VAGNELINDs story behind the fictive portrait NIKO: Niko learned how to stand up for herself early and grew her self-esteem by reading, travel and her natural curiosity. She is approachable, caring and always treats others with warmth and generosity. She is a master of making eye contact with people and ensuring they feel included. Her observation skills allow her to analyze all kind of situations well.. Niko means “daylight”. She approaches life with a positive attitude, like a flower opening in sunlight, greeting every day with great enthusiasm.

VAGNELIND
VAGNELIND captures human presence through broad brushstrokes, thick layers of oil paint and large-scale compositions. Her paintings are physical, raw and intuitive — a constant shift between the explosive and the concentrated.

VAGNELIND studied Fine Art in Australia and has lived in the USA and China — experiences that have brought an international pulse to her work.

She is featured in a 2026 European documentary series on ARTE and ZDF, following her artistic practice from the studio to ICEHOTEL — from oil paint to ice, chainsaws and cold-water immersion. She is also the author of KALLA BAD, published by Bonnier Fakta.
