IN THE STUDIO WITH VAGNELIND
MAKE YOUR WALLS TALK
Vagnelind’s paintings bring stories, emotions, and attitude to life. With bold brushstrokes, strong contrasts, and sculptural forms, she explores people—especially women—and their strength, mystery, and presence. Each piece engages the viewer, transforms any space, and turns walls into expressions of imagination, dialogue, and raw energy, using deep petrol blues, shadowed blacks, and warm skin tones to create drama and depth.

PRESS – WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS
STATEMENT BY HANS IVANOFF – PROJECT MANAGER, ARCHITECTURE/ART, TRAFIKVERKET
“This work is truly extraordinary — full of energy, vibrant colors, and movement that almost jumps out of the frame. At 144 square meters, the mural makes a lasting impression on all passers-by and draws you into a dreamlike world. A must-see for anyone who has the opportunity.”
MURAL AT KORSVÄGEN, 22×4 METER
Commissioned by Trafikverket, a large-scale mural brings human presence into the urban flow, 22×4 meter at Korsvägen in Gothenburg. Five people move through the night beneath shimmering reflections and neon light. Like a snapshot of Gothenburg in motion, the painting captures the city’s quiet heartbeat — where memories and shared moments drift through the darkness.
STATEMENT BY PER LILJA – DESIGN MANAGER – ESTER BONNIER
“Vagnelind is the co-author, photographer and art director of the book KALLA BAD. She constantly improved and refined the expression of the book and that work flow was very inspiring. All details were important for her! I really recommend Linda Vagnelind, both for her professionalism and her artistry!”
“I NEED ADVENTURE, WINTERLAND AND THE OCEAN TO FEEL ALIVE”
BUY THE BOOK KALLA BAD
KALLA BAD was born from a desire to inspire more people to embrace cold water. For me, winter swimming is a source of strength, focus, and creative energy — a way to reset the mind and fuel the work in the studio. In the book KALLA BAD, published by Bonnier Fakta in 2018, I share this passion as author, photographer, and art director. It is a journey through icy landscapes, pushing limits, and discovering why the cold remains my greatest source of power.
